If any entry in this publication is inaccurate or incomplete, we review the claim against the underlying record and we fix what the record does not support. When an entry changes, the entry says what changed. We would rather correct a page than defend a mistake, and a correction is treated as part of the record, not as an embarrassment.
Write to corrections@thedistrictrecord.com. Include the page concerned, the specific item you believe is wrong, and, if you have it, the document or source that shows why. Every request is reviewed against the underlying record, not against how the entry makes anyone look.
Anyone named in this publication may submit a response for publication, on the record. The invitation is standing and appears on every subject page. A response is published alongside the record it answers.
A correction request is checked against primary records first. If the record supports the change, the entry is updated and the update is dated. If the record does not support the change, the entry stands and we say why. Either way, the person who wrote in gets an answer.
